Why are my items slow to load?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: typing in checkout search is slow]

Retail POS system on iPads (both have these symptoms). The app is perfectly responsive except for the item search in the checkout tab.

 

Search in other areas (i.e. "items" or "add stock") is snappy.

 

Both iPads have been updated (iOS and square retail app). Stands and iPads have been power cycled. I'm out of ideas.

Welcome to the Seller Community. Sorry to hear you've been experiencing this. Also, great job trying out all those troubleshooting steps, you are way ahead of the curve. To make sure I am fully understanding the situation, what iPad models do you currently have, and what iOS versions are they running?

You can grab this information by opening the iPad settings and going to General > About.
