does not power on

Went to use it today and can't get it to power on. It'll light up for an instant and then go off again. Tried plugging it in as well, but no power.

Is this issue occurring with a Contactless and Chip Reader? 

 

If so, please try these troubleshooting steps:  

 

1. Plug in the reader and let it charge for at least 30 minutes.  This will ensure that the reader battery is fully charged, and not keeping the reader from turning on. 


2. While the reader is still plugged in and charging, press and hold the power/reset button for at least 20 seconds to fully reboot the reader. 

 

3. If LED lights turns on, that means the reader is up and running again! 

 

4.  If lights don't turn on, please repeat those steps again. 

 

If the Contactless and Chip Reader continues to not turn on, please go ahead and process a warranty exchange. We will ship out a new one right away, and when you send back the old one, our hardware team will be able to determine exactly what happened. 

 

If the issue is happening with a device other than the Contactless and Chip Reader, please reply with a bit more detail on what device you're using, so we can provide some troubleshooting tips.
