For some reason, when I try to sign up for the square debit card, it says "Due to restrictions set by our bank partner, we are unable to issue you a Square Card at this time." If anyone knows how I can sidestep this issue, I would be much obliged.

Hey @KralickW. Thanks for checking in here. First, make sure that your POS app is fully updated before ordering the Square Card. If it is updated and you're still seeing that message, give our CS team a call so they can verify why you might be receiving it.
