Adding request deposit on appointment app!

Will square ever add the deposit feature that's on the invoice app on the appointment app? I'm not going to switch to another system, YET!, but it is mind-boggling because the other apps have it but the most important app of them all (us getting client bookings) doesn't support having clients pay a deposit upon booking their appointment -_-.

Actually, the Deposit feature is available in the Appointments app. From the navigation menu, simply tap Invoices > Add an item/service > hit Add a payment schedule. You'll see the Deposit field there.

Square y’all need to get it together, a deposit feature is needed badly, all the other stuff y’all have been doing like classes etc cool, but you still need a working deposit feature  still that will automatically show the remaining balance due at the time of service. I won’t be switching but it needs to happen sooner than later if your competitors can achieve this so can you

A response to the (need for a deposit attached to an appointment ) question came in which said the feature exists in Appointments. This is incorrect. The invoices feature is not in appointments. Invoices are invoices. Appointments are a completely different set of features all tied to a time and date and a service; not a product. 

The people requesting this feature know exactly what they are talking about. And all of them have been frustrated since they operate businesses needing this real feature. If Square made a statement as to why this wasn't being built/offered (such as a certain liability or concern of theirs), I could respect it more. For now, it has been stated that it is not a feature on the roadmap.

 

I have audited Square Appointments for years; since they first launched. This last year I tried again, thinking I could just work around it. Now, I have decided to just build my own software with friends from former Razorfish agency. It's set to launch Q4, 2024.

Hi everyone, I am so sad and in disbelief that this issue has not been solved yet. 

 

Square, please give us the option to allow prepayment at booking of the amount of our choosing WITHOUT having to change the amount of the service to the deposit amount. As a licensed Cosmetologist, I offer far too many styles to properly remember the cost of them all. That is what I have this site for.
