Appointments: Is there a way to send a follow up text or email?

i download appointment app on my phone. i run an auto detailing company and want to add what each package involves but it take to long to type on the phone when i can just go on my computer and type it in. i dont see where i can do that? i see a spot of items but not services.

 

also is there a way to set up follow up email and text  48 hours after their service automatically?

@Arie I've been scrolling this thread and so many others that have major feature requests I need to run my business and it absurd the pace and transparency Square has with their feature request. This whole forum is worthless is they are basically throwing our comments and feedback in the trash

I would switch from Acuity to Square Appointments if I could do automated follow up emails

still not yet? you are about to lose me to another platform team. I am sure 4 years is plenty for clients crying for a feature, no?

Is there any update on this request? It has been 4 years since the request has been submitted. It seems like a pretty basic request to set up automated follow up emails/text to our clients after an appointment. Can you please provide an update on where this is on the roadmap?

I also need this feature. would love to send a post care instruction text automatically

I set this up outside of Square. I used Zapier to connect salesmessage and square. 

Crazy that this was a feature request in 2018!!!! ITS 2022... cmon square... thats pathetic

I am following up on this for my barber shop business. Sending a reminder follow up 4 weeks after an appointment would be extremely beneficial.

As a barbershop I’ve heard many clients say that a follow up reminder email 4-6 weeks after their previous haircut would be nice. Something to the effect of “it’s been 4 weeks since your last haircut. Click here to book your next appointment”. It’d be great if this was something that could be automated, have it go out automatically to clients…

side note: it blows me away that Square has done away with the ability to text message clients directly. It’s the sole way I communicate with clients whenever they are running late etc. and I am trying to see where they are. No one wants phone calls anymore. Texting is king.
