Create a New Form of Payment

We are a small restaurant and we used to do a partnership with a gift card company called Instagift.  There are still some active ones out there and they still come in occasionally.  We are able to have the customer redeem the Instagift on the app, but sometimes their Instagift doesn't cover their total and we need to do a split a payment between the Instagift and another form of payment.  

If it has covered the whole check we've been comping the ticket.  When that's not the case I am needing to create a new form of payment.  Is there a way to create a custom form of payment?

Hello @StaceyNewlon and thanks for your question. See this post here for more info on payment types. You should be able to take any payment as "another form of payment" if an Instagift gift card is prevented. And if you're using a Square register or terminal, you should be able to "split" the payment between two different payment types. Here is more info on splitting payments.
