Why don't I have "items" as an option on the menu in the square app?

I would like to set up some items in my register. I looked up how to do it in the help section. It said to select "items" from the menu on the App, but I don't have that as an option.

@Nancy928 @hairwizard - Sorry to hear about the trouble! Have you both already had a chance to double check for software updates in the app stores on your mobile devices? It was a feature released in one of the newest versions.

The items menu doesn't appear in the iphone version but does in the ipad version, at least for me.
