using egift card in facebook page shop

Hello, I set up egift cards today following instructions coming from facebook. I tested it today. I purchased a $10 egc and gave the code to a repeat customer to try at checkout in my Facebook shop. It didn't work. What is the point of selling Square egift cards on my Facebook page, if they can't redeem them through my shop on Facebook? What did I do wrong ?

Hello and welcome @tessa 👋 Square eGift Cards and Gift Cards are intended for use in-person and/or via your Square Online website. Facebook does not support the ability to pay with a Square eGift Card.
