We really need the ability to block certain clients from scheduling. No just declining them. There are those finding ways around the decline by utilizing another email address etc. Thank you
This forum doesn't seem to work getting this feature to the proper channels. It for the customer to feel like they are getting some where but they are not. Maybe start to go to twitter and call them out because at this point Square has shown that they are NOT for solo practitioners and their safety! It has been YEARS of this now. YEARS!!! 35 pages of this request up to this point. Look into GlossGenius for booking if you are a esthetician or massage therapist.
Agreed! This has been one of the features missing. I used to use an online booking system that allowed you to toggle or “turn off” booking ability for that client specifically. I typically don’t have an issue with clients booking online but when they are not a fit with my business anymore and can’t respect my time, it’s necessary. This is a feature that is needed, regardless of no show protection being in place.

Hi all 👋 Apologies for the delayed response here but I have returned with some insight from the Square Appointments Product Team! I'll share what they've told me below:
"We don’t have a specific feature for this yet but it’s on our roadmap this year. However, many of our Appointments Sellers are already enrolled in Risk Manager, and can use the Risk Manager’s “Block payment cards” feature to block buyers from booking if the Seller has prepayment or no-show turned on. Unfortunately, there isn’t a good way to block clients from booking if the Seller doesn’t use prepayment or no-show, but this is on our radar for this year."

Nothing new to report on this at the moment, but it seems to be gaining more interest lately so hopefully we can figure out a way to help with situations like this.
Thanks for sharing this feedback. I can totally see where this feature would be useful for difficult clients and I'll share your feedback with the Appointments team. I've moved this to the Feature Request board where we can track this request.
Clients like this just turn off their credit cards so you can't charge no show fees. They "block" their card. Perhaps the programmers can borrow technology from banks who have obviously figured it out...or other scheduling software apps that have figured it out. I'm only staying with Square long enough to settle my PPP. Other vendors have figured out how to "block" clients. This request is taking several years
I see this was posted years ago and still no movement on it, how can we get this seen and considered? It’s a big deal with the salon industry and having everything be online makes it easy for troublesome clients to just rebook themselves even if you’ve had “that conversation” and Fired them. Hoping this is up and coming soon!
Can someone please tell me how to block or ban a client from making an appointment? I am a massage therapist and a client is harassing me. I hope someone has an answer.
Really sorry to hear about this experience you're having with a client 😔 I can imagine that is both concerning and stressful.
At this time, we do not have a way for our sellers/business owners to block clients. It's a feature request we've heard in the past and are tracking here. Within the best answer, there's a workaround suggestion to ensure that you have to approve all appointments prior to them being accepted.

This has been my concern for YEARS and I have been asking ever since. I also called customer service.
Unfortunately Square does NOT have that feature. I think it's so stupid!! Considering today's technology, this is pretty basic task, all other booking apps have.
I guess square refuses to add the feature so that they can profit from the cc payment. Haha!
I no longer use square for payment.
There's a lot of basic features they lack.
Hopefully with so many requests, square would finally enable that function. I hate it
So long as this is a free service, they’ll NEVER add it. It’s just not their priority. Just a free program to lure small businesses to use their payment system.
