Print customer name on receipt

This has been requested by Square users since at least 2017 yet it seems the feature has still not been rolled out.

It is imperative that customer names print on the receipt, not just the last four digits of the credit card number.

We manually enter card information from our donors and then shred the paperwork for privacy protection. There is no way to retrieve this data if human error misses the step of hand-writing the donor's name on the printed receipt.

If the name was already on the receipt, we also wouldn't have to print a copy.

Please allow it to print this information on the ticket.  We would use the same name and address information for our Landscape Center deliveries.

I too have been asking for this feature for over two years.  I especially need this feature for two reasons:  1) it personalizes the sale and reminds my staff to thank Mr. / Mrs. So-So.  2) When we do layaways, the name is on the receipt that is attached to the item and we avoid mix ups when searching through our layaway inventory. We do a lot of layaways and this feature would help us better organize our backroom.

Square is simply not going to address this issue. You’ll have to go with another pos system. Square is literally the only pos system that cannot and will not do this. I’m sure in the fine print they make it clear that they own the customer data even when it’s out customer data.

We would like to have this as well.  We would also like the address to be able to be printed on the reciept if selected.  That way we can use it for deliveries, or a specified delivery address and phone number

I completely understand how beneficial having this information on receipts would be. I am sorry the feature hasn't been rolled out yet.

I appreciate you taking the time to bring this over to our Ideate Board as a Feature Request. I have added the previous thread with all of the other seller to your request too. This will show the Product Team how popular this request is among our sellers. 

Right now, this isn't planned on the roadmap. It doesn't mean that the status will not change in the future. Once our Product Team provides and update one of the Community Moderators will come update the status. 

This will keep all interested sellers in the loop of the process.

I need the customer's name, phone#, and address on the receipt. I need this so we can keep track of payments. I also need it for special orders when people pay down on an item. All other POS in the past that I have used includes the customer information on the receipt. This is very helpful for my sales staff, they keep saying why does not the information print, it makes their workflow very hard to manually write down the customer name/# and address on the receipt for each sale.

Has anything been done on getting name on receipts? I have 4 receipts of Dues paid but no name just last 4 of their cc number? We need to know who paid, is there a way to find it?

This needs to be addressed. I’m looking into a legit pos. It’s is so stupid that square can’t get this done!

We need patient's names to show on the receipt so they are able to submit them for reimbursement. Please help.
